Nicole Hammer has been appointed by the IQA Board of Trustees to continue the work of Harrison Homel, the previous executive director.
Hammer will fill the position as the interim director while the IQA conducts a formal application process to find a successor.
Hammer has been involved in quidditch for over 6 years. She played quidditch as the founder and the inaugural captain of the University of Tampa Quidditch team. Afterwards she became the Vice President of the Florida Gulf Coast University Team, later serving as the President of the University of Central Florida Quidditch, and the Florida Quidditch Conference, before joining the IQA in April of 2016.
The application process for the new executive director will take place near the end of September. There will be a separate announcement on preferred qualifications and how to apply. We hope to coincide the announcement with the response to the Incorporation Application currently under review in the UK. The hiring process may take up to two months and include several rounds of interviews for the applicants. We will be considering both internal and external applicants to fill the position.
We wish Nicole all the best in taking on her new position and have full confidence in her ability to lead the IQA.
